Prepare Dum/Hydrabadi Biriyani in Your Home

Hydrabadi Biriyani

Many of you are fans of Biryani, You definitely have tried the Indian Restaurants around your block and became a fan of Biryani. Well guess what, now you don;t have to go to the restaurants no more because as you are reading this, you will learn how to make Biryani all by yourself. Usually the restaurants seem to offer Biryani made of Beef, Mutton & Chicken. Besides there are couple of specials named as Hydrabadi Biryani and Dum Biryani. We are going to tell you how to cook Dum Biryani. Let’s start then:


  • Bashmoti Rice: 1/2 kg
  • Mutton: 1 kg
  • Ginger-Garlic pest: 2tb sp
  • Green Pepper : 1tb sp
  • Papaw pest: 1 tsp
  • Salt: as you like
  • Yugourt1: 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric powder: 1tsp
  • Red chilly powder: 1/2tsp
  • Gorom Mashla powder: 1tsp
  • Jayfall powder: 1/2tsp১/২
  • Lemon juice: full 1 piece
  • Lobongo: 4 pieces
  • Elachi: 4-5 pieces
  • Shahi jira: 1tsp
  • Jira: 1tsp
  • Potato; 4 pieces, middle size
  • Mint finely chopped: 4tb sp
  • Dhone pata finely chopped: 4tb sp
  • Joyotry powder: 1 piece
  • Daroochini: 1enc
  • Tejpata: 1 piece
  • Ghee: As you wish
  • Goolmorich powder: 5 pieces
  • Black Elach: 2 pieces
  • Water of jafran: 1tsp
  • Finely chopped brown onion fry: 1 cup

How to make:
1. Boil water in a big pan2. Salt, papaya paste , ginger , garlic and chili paste smeared with the meat. Leave in to marinate for at least 8 hours. If possible, leave to marinate in the night before going to bed.3. Now, mix turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, lemon extract, cloves, royal cumin, bay leaf, nutmeg powder( a little ), cardamom, cumin, beresta onions, potatoes, coriander, mint and yogurt with the marinated meat and mix well .4.Now, mix one teaspoon of butter, whole jayatri , bay leaf , black cardamom , green cardamom , Shahi cumin , cinnamon , salt into boiled water.5. Next, add the Bashmati Rice and leave it soaked in water for 10-15 minutes .6. Once the Rice gets half boiled, let the waters get separated from it.7. Now on a Large pan, add butters.8. Once the butter gets heated, add the marinated meats with it.9.  After a while, add the Half-Boiled rice on layers.10. On the Half Boiled Rice; add coriander, onion beresta, addle saffron water, a little hot spice powder, salt, basil leaves and a little butter spread .11 . Now, cover the pan with flour putting on around.12. Cook on medium heat for 35 minutes. 13. Turn off the stove and leave it on the stove for 15 minutes and Your Biriyani will be Ready for serving.Do SHARE if this was helpful to you.
